Personalised support for Year 3 and Year 4

Hi, I’m Nina
I know how quickly a child can start to doubt themselves when English and Science begins to feel difficult. Sometimes they do understand more than it seems, but they need the right kind of support, the right pace, and someone who can help things make sense without making them feel pressured.

That is the kind of support I aim to give. I work with primary learners in a way that feels encouraging, personal, and easy to follow, so they can build skills step by step and grow in confidence as they go. Whether your child needs help before exams or regular support over time, my goal is to make English and Science feel less overwhelming and much more manageable.
My Story
Teaching has always meant something deeper to me than simply getting through a lesson. I have always cared about how people learn, why certain things stay with them, and how to make learning feel more natural, more engaging, and far less intimidating. That is a big part of what brought me here.

Over the years, I have built strong experience in teaching and learning, including in a previous role as a Director of Learning, where I was responsible for helping shape learning experiences that were clear, meaningful, and easier for people to retain. That experience taught me something important. Real progress does not come from pressure alone. It comes when someone feels supported, understood, and taught in a way that actually makes sense to them.

That is why I work with children in a way that is warm, encouraging, and personal. I know how quickly a child can start to lose confidence when a subject begins to feel rigid or frustrating. English, in particular, can sometimes be seen as dry or difficult, when really, it should open doors. It should help a child express themselves clearly, think well, read with understanding, and feel proud of what they can do.

My aim is not just to help children improve on paper. It is to help them feel more secure in themselves as learners. I want lessons to feel clear, manageable, and genuinely helpful, whether a child needs focused revision before exams or steady support over time. When children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and build skills step by step, that is usually when confidence starts to grow.

For me, good teaching is never about rushing a child or making them feel small. It is about meeting them where they are, understanding how they learn, and helping them move forward with patience, clarity, and care.
